Stephen Heinze, Aquatics Supervisor

Stephen grew up in Florida, where he developed a love for the water, before moving to Texas in 2006. He began his career in aquatics in 2009 as a lifeguard, gaining valuable experience in water safety, team leadership, and emergency response. Over the years, he advanced to the role of Aquatic Assistant Manager for a Texas school district, where he oversaw daily operations, trained staff, and implemented programs to enhance community engagement.
Stephen is passionate about creating safe and enjoyable aquatic environments and takes pride in fostering the professional growth of his team. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, a lifelong hobby that keeps him connected to his passion for aquatics. He also values spending quality time with friends, exploring the outdoors, and staying active in his local community.
Aquatics Coordinator - Rial Denman

Robert “Rial” Denman was born in Carrollton, Texas and brings an impressive ten years of experience in the aquatics field to his position at Thrive. Rial was a member of his high school’s varsity swim team and began his aquatics career at age 16, first earning his Lifeguard Certification and then his Lifeguard Training Certification shortly afterward.
Rial is passionate about aquatic safety and is dedicated to helping people feel safe and excited around the water. He hopes to expand aquatic programming not only at Thrive, but also at Sun Valley and Lewisville Lake. When he’s not working, you can find Rial enjoying time at the beach or relaxing by the pool with his loved ones.
Nicholas Jacobs, Senior Head Lifeguard

Meet Nick! Nick worked as a Lifeguard and head lifeguard for six years in The Colony, where he discovered his passion for Lifeguarding. He has now turned that passion into full time work, bringing his experience and love for the water to Thrive as a Head lifeguard. Nick got his lifeguard certification in 2016, adding his LGI in 2022. Nick has lived in Texas his whole life, being born in Plano and growing up in The Colony. Outside of work Nick loves to swim and loves the Dallas Cowboys!
David Martin, Head Lifeguard

David was born in Sarasota, Florida before his family moved here in 2015. As a lifelong homeschool learner, David is an advocate for homeschool programs and would love to work with associations in the community in the future. David is passionate about martial arts and has been practicing for the past 6 years, including teaching for the past two and a half years. David turned his passion for martial arts into motivation for constantly improving himself and looks forward to the next adventure life brings him.

Meet Leivy! Leivy grew up around the ocean, learning to swim as a child while her father worked as a fisherman. Her passion for aquatics led her to join the swim team in high school, where her dedication earned her a lifeguard position at 16. A life-changing rescue early in her career solidified her commitment to always being prepared. Now, with seven years of experience, she holds LGI, AFO, and lifeguard/CPR AED certifications. She values mentorship, training, and building strong relationships within the aquatics community. Leivy is excited to bring her expertise to the Thrive team.

Kalie has been dedicated to aquatics and water safety since the age of 16. With extensive experience in lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and training new staff, she brings both passion and strong leadership to her role as Head Guard.
Known for her kind heart, spunky attitude, and uplifting presence, Kalie creates an environment where both guests and staff feel welcomed and encouraged. She takes pride in helping others grow-whether it's mentoring a new guard or building a young swimmer's confidence in the water. Her dedication to safety, teamwork, and community shines through in everything she does.

Cierra Brackens, Fitness Coordinator

Meet Cierra, an Indiana native, who graduated from Ball State University with a bachelors in Exercise Science. She moved down to Texas shortly after where she has been pursuing her love for fitness as a personal trainer! Before joining us at Thrive she taught group exercise classes at a boutique health club as well as ran her own small personal training business. As the fitness specialist for Thrive, Cierra will use her passion for health and fitness to encourage the patrons of Lewisville to become the best version of themselves!

Meet James! James graduated from Texas A&M in 1988. He was a High School Teacher and Coach for 29 years. James taught all levels of English, coached Football, Basketball and Baseball and has worked all over the state teaching and coaching. Before starting his teaching career he worked for Colonnade Athletic Club in San Antonio. And in his spare time he likes watching college football and riding his Harley. We are excited to have James on the Thrive team! If you see him around, make sure to say hi!

Meet Jazmyn (or Jazz for short). Jazmyn was born and raised in Abilene, TX and enjoys being outdoors, working out, and playing basketball. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and continued on to receive her Masters' in Psychology Specialization in Sport Psychology. She was promoted to Assistant Manager in November 2022. Jazmyn comes to us with an abundance of experience in Recreation where she has overseen a wide variety of programming from summer camp to seniors and operations of recreational facilities. Jazmyn is looking forward leading the Thrive team and contributing her knowledge to bring innovative programs, and events for all ages to Thrive.
Darrin Williams, Operations Supervisor
[P] 469.635.5307 [E] Darrin WilliamsMeet Darrin! Darrin graduated from UNT with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. He joined the Lewisville team in December 2003 as a Recreation Specialist at Frederick P. Herring Recreation Center and was promoted in October 2011 to Center Supervisor for Memorial Park Recreation Center. Darrin is now the Operations Supervisor for Thrive and is responsible for overseeing the customer experience such as memberships, rentals, tot drop, and overall facility operations. If you see him in passing, be sure to say hi or give him a smile and you are sure to get the same greeting in return!

[P] 469.635.5300 [E] Osanna NalbandianMeet Osanna, Osanna previously worked in our Thrive Adventure Land and recently moved up as our Full-Time Closing Cashier! Osanna grew up in Greece, and has been living in Lewisville for 21 years. She speaks 5 languages and is also a mother of two, a son and a daughter. Osanna enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying different cuisines. She "Thrives at building relationships and helping out my community."

Miranda Maloy, CPRP, Programs Supervisor

Meet Miranda! Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Miranda relocated to the great state of Texas in 2012 and has since dedicated over a decade to serving communities of all sizes through innovative and inclusive programming. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, Miranda is passionate about holistic wellness and mental health. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University and hopes to use her degrees to support her community.
Miranda brings a strong focus on mindfulness-based programming, teen engagement, working with the special needs community, and large-scale special events. She is passionate about creating welcoming, vibrant experiences for all ages and is always on the lookout for fresh, community-driven program ideas to bring to Thrive.
A recognized leader in the field, Miranda was honored as an NRPA 30 Under 30 and was a recipient of the 2024 Young Professional Fellowship. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and cheering on her favorite hockey team—the Dallas Stars!

Meet Kat! Kat just recently joined us here at Thrive after working with the Southlake Senior Activity Center for the past 3+ years. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2018. Kat likes to be active and enjoys participating in group exercise classes whenever she can. Her all-time favorite activity, however, is spending time with her adorable seven-year-old son. If you see Kat around, make sure to say hello!
